Two-Layer Hardwood Flooring
- The process begins with logs being cut into boards using band saws, which are then further processed into elements at the production facility.
- These prepared and stacked elements are dried in kilns.
- Once dried, the elements for the base layer are processed with cross-cut and longitudinal circular saws to produce the base layer for two-layer hardwood flooring in the form of lamellas.
- The dry elements intended for the top layer are pre-planed and cut using circular saws or frame saws.
- The lamellas for the base layer are then transported to the gluing line, where adhesive is applied to the base, the top layer is added, and the two layers are glued together to form a laminated structure.
- This laminated structure is further sanded, brushed, and fitted with a tongue and groove. Some of the two-layer hardwood flooring is surface-treated with eco-friendly oils.
- The top layer is a 3.5 mm thick lamella made of oak or ash, while the bottom layer consists of arranged lamellas of 8x22x160 mm with spacing, made from various types of wood, most commonly oak, ash, and spruce. The surface finish is UV oil or without surface treatment. Variants with or without a beveled edge are available in dimensions 10x70x470 mm and 11.5x150x1000 mm.
- Whether surface-treated or not, the two-layer flooring is then packed into cardboard boxes and stacked on pallets for shipment.
